AZI GROUP will make sure a cargo is delivered safely, economically and efficiently because the company carries out:

  • transportation of full container loads (FCL transportation covers the shipment of not only normal as well as non-standard size cargo, but also liquid, powdery products or temperature-sensitive goods);
  • transportation of less-than-container loads (LCL is popular due to its low transportation costs and the fact that the cargo of different clients is shipped in a single container);
  • cargo transportation from loading spots to the destination point (from doorstep to doorstep).

AZI GROUP ships cargo between the following countries: the U.S. and Lithuania, the U.S. and Russia, the U.S. and Belarus.
The unloading port is located in Klaipeda, and from there cargo is transported to the following regions: Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, etc.

Goods arriving at Klaipeda Port in containers are delivered to the doorstep. If needed, we can employ multi-modular – combined – transport when a couple of kinds of transport is used: land-sea, land-air. AZI GROUP will make sure that the car you have purchased in the U.S. is delivered reliably and safely from the purchase location to the loading port. Cars are delivered from the U.S. to various regions in Europe and the CIS (Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan). The transported cars will be provided with the export documents from the U.S. and the cars will go through a legal inspection (car history report).

Marine transport can transport any size and kind of cargo, even non-standard size cargo over long distances. Marine ships offer a lot of loading space, high efficiency and the flexibility to adjust to cargo traffic. Cargo shipping services are attractive due to their lower cost, compared to other transportation means, the absence of restrictions on cargo size and marine transport permeability, their high load capacity and the safety offered by transporting cargo in containers. Usually, container traffic to the Baltic Sea goes through major European ports: Hamburg, Bremerhaven (Germany), Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Antwerp (Belgium). If needed, there is a possibility of using several types of transport (sea, air, railway and road).

Marine transport is part of the transportation system; the system that involves use, maintenance and servicing of marine vehicles as well as their equipment. Ships are most suitable for transporting unpackaged cargo which is not quickly perishable and that is expensive to transport. Container ships are used for transportation of containers by sea.

The range of services offered by marine transport is very broad:

  • the services of cargo liners
  • the services of ships sailing without designated route
  • specialized services

Currently we use containers to transport around 90% of all cargo, excluding powdery and liquid cargo, even though this takes far more time than other means of transport. Clients are able to choose certain size and type of containers, taking into account cargo volume and type. Marine containers can carry heavy weights. The highest permitted weight is 25-30 tons, but they are frequently loaded with 18-21 tons due to the weight restrictions while carrying containers on land transport.

There are five container standards:

  • 20 ft (6,1 m)
  • 40 ft (12,2 m)
  • 45 ft (13,7 m)
  • 48 ft (14,6 m)
  • 53 ft (16,2 m)

48 and 53 ft containers are used for local transportation in the U.S.

The carrier’s responsibilities relating to marine transport are specified by the Hague Visby Rules of 1968 and the rules restricting a carrier to SDR 2* (around USD 2.4) per gross kilogram or SDR 666.67 (around USD 800) per container. This is considered to be bill of lading terms (the summary of these terms is presented on the other side of the bill of lading).

The carrier always informs the client about the movement of cargo through the entire route, providing information about the cargo’s exact location, which can be monitored by the client themselves.
